Why should we hire a professional officiant?
There are a myriad of reasons to hire a professional wedding officiant as there is with all of the vendors for your celebration; the ceremony should be no exception. A professional officiant has had the opportunity to serve hundreds of couple, while every wedding is different and there is always an opportunity for growth-- there is some wisdom that comes from performing these sacred rituals again and again. Weddings can become a very unpredictable environment and by using a professional officiant you will be fully supported throughout the ceremony.
All wedding professionals understand the commitment they make to every couple that hires them, and take that commitment seriously as a matter of professional integrity. Lastly, as your officiant we understand, respect, and work with you to ensure you get exactly what you want.
When should we hire our officiant?
We may be biased, but it our belief that you should hire your officiant right away. We hate tell people we aren't available-- if you wait until the last minute there's a chance we will already be booked.
How long is a typical ceremony?
Our typical wedding ceremony is fifteen to twenty-five minutes long; it truly depends on your wishes and traditions.
You say that travel is subject to a surcharge. What does that mean?
Our rates include travel, there are some cases where we need to charge a bit more to compensate our officiant to cover fuel cost. We are happy to explain this more during your consult.
Do we need to go through premarital counseling in order to have you perform our wedding?
The state of Ohio does not require couples to have premarital counseling, however we do offer this service. We offer an hour and a half long session that will guide you on how to talk about those tough topics.
Where can we have our wedding?
We recommend to all couples that you choose a location that is a reflection of your personalities. We have done weddings in banquet halls, outside in nature, private homes, breweries and more! Our officiants will meet you at your preferred location.
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely! We encourage our couples to consider writing their own vows, but it is not required. Need some guidance? Check out a blog we wrote to help get you started.

We are humans first and if 2020 taught us anything it is have a plan A, B, C, D, well you get the idea. We promise to serve our couples! If an emergency happens, we have a list of licensed and trusted fellow officiants that are ready to provide you with the same excellent service that you would expect from Run to an Elopement.

Will you stay for our reception?
We really appreciate your generous invitation, however we will have to regretfully decline. Your reception is a time for you to enjoy yourselves with your closest friends and family.
We really want you to officiate our wedding-- will you save our date?
Unfortunately we do not save dates. The only way to secure your date on our calendar is to sign our contract and pay your deposit in full. We require a deposit of 50% of the total balance due for services.
